Here I wanted to test a few things:
- Build a MDF kit: that’s the house on the right.My challenge was to try to make it look like a small house and not a pile of cheap wood/cardboard… I tried to texture it with wood filler on the walls, and PVA glue + sand on the roof. I wanted to have a rough / cheap rendering (it’s a small village in a remote fantasy countryside), I think it’s pretty OK, even if the yellow colour is a little creepy.
- Build a house by myself: that’s the other one, on the left. It was very fast with foam board, coffee stirrers and cardboard on the roof. I just think that the roof is too bright, but let’s say they are proud of their brand new roof.
- A well: very fast build with XPS foam and tooth picks to solidify everything. I enjoyed doing this small piece of terrain. 🙂
As for the minis, I tried to paint a little more diversity too. ^^
